Emmanuelle Coutanceau

Biography

Ms. Emmanuelle Coutanceau, Ph.D., has been an Investment Director at Novo Seeds since September 2015. Ms. Coutanceau is employed at Novo A/S. Prior joining Novo Seeds, she served as an Investment Director and Partner of Life Sciences at Auriga Partners, where she was in charge of seed stage investments. Ms. Coutanceau was part of life sciences team at Omnes capital S.A.S. (formerly Crédit Agricole Private Equity) from 2007 to 2014, where she served as Life Sciences Investment Manager and Associate. She was in charge of the Seed Stage Investment Program and actively invested in Belgium and The Netherlands. She has 10 years of experience in venture capital investment. She serves on the Board of Adenium Biotech. She serves as a Director of MinervaX, Avilex Pharma, Amakem NV, Pcovery ApS, ERA Biotech, Antag Therapeutics ApS and Complix NV. She has been a Director of Corwave SAS since November 2016. She has been a Director of Inthera Bioscience AG since May 31, 2017. She serves as a Member of Supervisory Board of FlexGen B.V. and Arcarios B.V. She served as Observer of Supervisory Board at Medisse BV and served as it Director. Ms. Coutanceau holds a Master's Degree in Agronomic Engineering from the ENSAR in Rennes and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Paris VII University, for her work on the immunosuppressive properties of a bacterial toxin, conducted at Pasteur Institute (Paris, France). She holds a specialized Postgraduate Degree in Biopharmaceutical Management from the Paris ESCP-EAP Business School. She obtained her MSc degree from the Agrocampus Ouest (France) in 2003.
