Stuart Mackey

Biography

Stuart Mackey, also known as Stu, J.D., serves as Head of Business Development at Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited. Mr. Mackey has been Chief Business Officer at Roche Innovation Center Copenhagen A/S since October 2009 and serves as Vice President. He joined Santaris Pharma A/S after spending the last ten years at leading biotech company Amgen Inc. He served as a Managing Director of Amgen Ventures. Mr. Mackey oversaw and directs the corporate venture capital fund's investment in early-stage biotechnology companies focused on discovering and developing human therapeutics. He served as Vice President of Strategy at Roche Innovation Center Copenhagen A/S. Mr. Mackey served as an Executive Director of Amgen Ventures' Corporate Development department, responsible for out licensing efforts and corporate alliance management. Mr. Mackey originally joined Amgen Ventures' Law Department in 1999, supporting Amgen's strategic alliances, international business activities and licensing efforts. In 2003, Mr. Mackey joined the Licensing Department, where he ran the group responsible for negotiating Amgen's inbound and outbound licensing transactions. Mr. Mackey served as an Associate at Folger, Levin & Kahn, LLP. He served as Board Observer of VLST Corporation. He has undergraduate work in Economics at Harvard University and holds Law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law.
