Carsten Bjerg

Biography

 Carsten Bjerg served as the Chief Executive Officer of Grundfos A/S. Mr. Bjerg served as the Chief Executive Officer of Grundfos Management A/S of Poul Due Jensen`s Fond since March 2007 and served as its Group President since 2006. He served as a Member of Group Management Board at Grundfos Management A/s and Grundfos Holding A/S since 2000. He has extensive experience in strategic management of an international company (The Grundfos Group) and extensive knowledge in R&D, production and sustainability. He served as a Vice Group President at Grundfos Management. He served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Grundfos Management A/S from 1994 to 1997, Executive Vice President and Group Production Director from 2000 to 2002 and Senior Vice President of International Production from 1997 to 1999. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and Vice Group President of Grundfos Holding A/S (also known as Grundfos Group) since March 23, 2007 until 2013 and President since 2006. He served as a Product Line Director at Danfoss A/S from 1989 to 1994, Project Manager of Danfoss A/S from 1983 to 1984, Production Manager / Plant Manager from 1985 to 1989, Project Manager from 1985 to 1989 and Production Rotation Engineer from 1983 to 1984. He serves as the Chairman of the boards of DHI Water & Environment, Grundfos China Holding Co., Ltd. (China) and Grundfos Pumps (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (China). He serves as Chairman of the Board of Fornyelsesfonden. He has been a First Deputy Chairman of Rockwool International A/S since April 18, 2013 and has been its Independent Director since 2011. He serves as Vice Chairman of Højgaard Holding A/S and has been its Director since April 2014. He served as Second Deputy Chairman of Rockwool International A/S from April 18, 2012 to April 18, 2013. He has been a Director of Mt Højgaard A/S since 2014 and serves as its Deputy Chairman of the board of Directors. He serves as a Director of Rockwool International A/S, Grundfos Finance A/S, Grundfos Holding AG (Switzerland) and Grundfos New Business A/S. He has been a Director of Vestas Wind Systems A/S since March 2011. He serves as a Board Member of the Federation of Employers in the Provincial Industry. He is a Member of the General Council of the Confederation of Danish Industries (DI). Mr. Bjerg holds an M.Sc. from Technical University of Denmark in Engineering in 1985 and has completed Advanced Course in Production Methods and Management at Cambridge University, UK in 1983.
