Biography
I got my PhD in computer science in 1994 and then worked for a couple of years as an information systems developer in government and industry. Between 1997 and 2014 I have held positions at University of Copenhagen, University of Limerick, Risø National Laboratory, University of Strathclyde, and Roskilde University. As of February 2014, I am professor of Information Science, University of Copenhagen. Academic positions: 2014-present: Professor of Information Science, University of Copenhagen. 2003-2014: Associate Professor in Computer Science and Informatics, Roskilde University. 2002: Academic Visitor, Dept. Computer and Information Sciences, University of Strathclyde (1 month). 1998-2002: Senior Scientist at Centre for Human-Machine Interaction, Risø National Laboratory. 1998: Post Doc at Interaction Design Centre, University of Limerick (6 months). 1997-98: Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen. My research interests are in Human-computer interaction (HCI), Usability, Computer supported cooperative work (CSCW), Information seeking, Participatory design, and Healthcare informatics.
