Mr. Mads Melbye

Biography

Mr. Mads Melbye has been the Chief Executive Officer at Statens Serum Institut since September 8, 2016, and serves as its Member of Management Board. Mr. Melbye served as an Executive Vice President at Statens Serum Institut since November 2004 until September 8, 2016, and served as its Head of Department since 1992. His Previous employment includes: Post-doc, Viral Epidemiology Branch, National Cancer Institute, USA from 1985 to 1986 and Clinical employments from 1986 to 1988) and from 1990 1991. He served as Senior Investigator of Institute of Cancer Epidemiology, The Danish Cancer Registry, Copenhagen from 1988 to 1991; State Epidemiologist of Dept of Epidemiology, Statens Serum Institut from 1991 to 1992. Mr. Melbye is a Foreign Adjunct Professor of Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden. He received Medical Diploma (MD) from University of Aarhus in 1984 and DMSc in 1988.
