Biography
Dr.Maria Menendez Blanco has completed his PhD and doing as Professor in the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. He belongs to department of Informatics. He works in the research field of Biomediacl Informatics
Research Interest
In my PhD thesis I investigated how design can facilitate the formation of publics, meaning groups of people who are concerned about an issue and organise themselves to address it. Builind on my PhD work, my current research focuses on how the design of digital artefacts and organization of events can facilitate engagement to societal issues. This is a practice-based research which includes activities such as designing interactive physical products and organising public workshops.
