Paul K. Wotton

Biography

Paul K. Wotton, MBA, Ph.D., serves as Chief Executive Officer at Sigilon Therapeutics, Inc. Dr. Wotton served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Ocata Therapeutics, Inc. (alternative name Advanced Cell Technology Inc.) since July 2014 until February of 2016. Dr. Wotton has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with both large and specialty pharma companies. Dr. Wotton served as the Chief Executive Officer of Antares Pharma Inc. since October 2008 until June 23, 2014 and served as its President since July 2008 until June 23, 2014. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Topigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. until March 2008. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Antares Pharma Inc. from July 2008 to October 2008. Prior to Topigen, he served as Global Head of Business Development at SkyePharma PLC, where he managed the business development and marketing function as well as implemented the largest drug delivery transaction at that time. He served as Vice President of Business Development at Penwest Pharmaceuticals Co. He served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Aptalis Pharma S.r.l. (alternatively Eurand s.p.a) and Vice President of Business Development for Penwest Pharmaceuticals Co. He served in senior-level positions at Eurand International BV, Abbott Laboratories and Merck, Sharp and Dohme. He has been the Chairman of Cynata Therapeutics Limited since February 28, 2017. He served as an Executive Director of Topigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. until March 2008. He served as the Chairman of the Emerging Companies Advisory Board of BIOTECanada. He has been an Independent Director of Vericel Corporation since January 2015. He has been Independent Director at Veloxis Pharmaceuticals A/S since July 27, 2016. He has been a Non Executive Director of Cynata Therapeutics Limited since June 9, 2016. He served as a Director of Ocata Therapeutics, Inc. (alternative name Advanced Cell Technology Inc.) since July 31, 2014. He served as a Director at Genaera Corporation since June 2008 and Antares Pharma Inc., since August 16, 2004 until June 2014. He is a Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the Licensing Executives Society. He is a recipient of the New Jersey 2014 EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Life Sciences award from Ernst &Young. He earned a Bachelor in Pharmacy degree from the University of London, an M.B.A. from Kingston Business School and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Nottingham.
