Mr. Robert Forrester

Biography

 Mr. Robert Forrester, LL.B., has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Verastem, Inc. since July 1, 2013 and January 22, 2013 respectively. Mr. Forrester served as the Chief Operating Officer of Verastem, Inc. from March 2011 to July 1, 2013. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of FORMA Therapeutics, Inc. from April 2010 to January 2011. He served as Principal Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer of Verastem, Inc. Mr. Forrester has over 18 years of US and worldwide experience in corporate finance, business development, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and corporate law. Mr. Forrester served as the Chief Executive Officer and Interim President of Zalicus Inc. (a/k/a CombinatoRx, Incorporated) from 2004 to December 2009. He served as Executive Vice President of CombinatoRx Inc, Incorporated since February 2004 until July 2009. He served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of CombinatoRx Inc, Incorporated since December 2009. Mr. Forrester served as Chief Financial Officer of CombinatoRx, Incorporated since February 2004 until July 2009 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer, Secretary and Treasurer. He served as an investment banker at BZW and UBS. He served as a lawyer at Clifford Chance LLP. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development at Coley Pharmaceuticals Group from 2000 to September 2003. He served as Managing Director of the Proprietary Investment Group at the investment bank MeesPierson, part of the Fortis Group from 1994 to 2000. Mr. Forrester served in Barclays de Zoete Wedd's corporate finance group (BZW) in New York and London, Union Bank of Switzerland's (UBS) capital markets group in London and Clifford Chance LLP in London and Singapore. He has been a Director of Gelesis, Inc. since 2014, SevenOaks Biosystems, Inc. since September 2014 and Verastem, Inc. since July 1, 2013. He served as a Director of Myrexis, Inc. (formerly Myrexis Pharmaceuticals) from June 1, 2009 to January 23, 2013, Atlantic Healthcare Limited from 2007 to 2011, Rhapsody Biologics, Inc. from 2010 to 2011 and MoMelan Technologies, Inc. from 2010 to 2012. He has been an Independent Director of Immunomedics, Inc. since January 09, 2017. He served as a Director of TheraGenetics Ltd. since August 2007. He served as an Independent Director of CPEX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from April 30, 2010 to April 5, 2011. He served as a Director of CombinatoRx, Incorporated since December 2009. He is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England. Mr. Forrester received an L.L.B. from the Bristol University.
