Biography
The Danish company was founded in 1956 by the Tøpholm and Westermann families and is still owned by the relatives of the company’s original founders. Widex’ new headquarters are located in Allerød Municipality, Denmark, north of Copenhagen. Jan Tøpholm holds an MSc in Electronics. He joined Widex in 1972 and was president and CEO of Widex from 1985 (when he took over after his father, Christian Tøpholm) until August 2013.
