Biography
Holds a PhD in Plant Sciences from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Works as a bioinformatician since 1993, first as a PhD student at W.I.S, than as a research scientist in Compugen Ltd., Head of Bioinformaitcs and W.I.S, Head of Bioinformatics at Harvard University, and since 2005, a research scientist (senior lecturer) in the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
Research Interest
Since 2005, Dr. Rubin’s work is focusing on precision medicine, first focusing on classical laboratory tests (e.g. Platelet Count), and more recently concentrating the entire lab’s effort on precision cancer medicine. Dr Rubin is part of the WINTHER consortium, and was recently requested to manage the IT infrastructure of the next generation of PCM trials initiated by the WIN Consortium.
