Biography
Laura Welke, PhD, completed her doctoral work in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at Boston University School of Medicine. During her tenure Dr. Welke worked in the Laboratory for Cognitive Neurobiology and had the unique opportunity to be trained in primate neurosurgery and behavior under a few of the leading experts in temporal lobe anatomy. Dr. Welke's dissertation focused on the functional interactions of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the medial temporal lobe system. Along with her research, Dr. Welke taught in the Medical Gross Anatomy, Histology, and Neuroscience courses at Boston University School of Medicine
