Biography

I am an architect and researcher. My research field is conserving and re-generating the built environment. Besides my eight years of professional experience in various projects (residential and mixed-use projects), I’ve been working also as an assistant lecturer at the university for the last five years to enhance my research skills. Since graduating from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology with a Master’s degree in 2009, I became very interested in the integrated and environmental design, its principles and associated tools that allow the evaluation of potential risks and prevent them. In the context of sustainability, during my postgraduate courses, I worked directly with my professors on several research papers which covered the environmental and users behavior areas applied on a single "Eco-building" as an experimental prototype and also within urban scale. In December 2009, I obtained a master's degree of Science in Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design and submitted to the (AASTMT) my dissertation entitled: "Building Environmental Performance - Virtual Experimental Model". Recently, I intended to obtain my PhD degree of architecture from Alexandria University in Egypt my research topic is the “Urban Heritage Assessment” and how we could enhance the historic built environment. My enclosed resume clearly demonstrates my interests in architectural design, heritage management and the built environment enhancement techniques. In addition, I obtained the “Royal Institute of British Architects” (RIBA) validation (Parts 1 and 2) to improve my professional skills.     I am an architect and researcher.
