Biography
Mohamed is an Assistant Professor in College of Computing and Information Technology, AAST. He got his PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. His research interests include information retrieval, digital libraries,big data, data science and analysis, web archiving, web crawling, and semantic Web. Mohamed earned his M.Sc from Arab Academy for Science and Technology (AAST) and B.S in computer science from Alexandria University. His work in the PhD was in the Digital Library Research and Laboratory (DLRL) lab under the supervision of Dr. Edward A. Fox and involved developing new focused crawling approaches for modeling and collecting information from the WWW about crises events.
