Biography
Dr. Amr M. Mohamed has received his PhD in University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) during the period of 2004. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor of Molecular Diagnostics of Infectious Diseases in Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia. In addition, he has a permanent position of Associate professor at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Assiut University, Egypt. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Vice Chair of Laboratory Medicine Dept., Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia. He has authored 20 research articles. He/she is a member of American Society of Microbiology, International Society of Camelids Research and Development (ISCRD), International Veterinary Information Services (IVIS), Egyptian Society for Cattle Diseases, Reviewer in the “Veterinary Journal” (British Veterinary Journal), Reviewer in the "Journal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation". Research Interest
Molecular diagnosis of Mycobacterial diseases, molecular diagnosis of infectious diseases, molecular approaches for development of subunit vaccines against tuberculosis, tularemia and blood parasites, application of Molecular diagnostic techniques for studying of drug resistant tuberculosis.
