Associate Professor of Computer Science Head of the University eLearning The British University in Egypt (under the British education system), Sept. 2006 – until now In partnership with Loughborough University – U.K. Teaching and assisting in the delivery of academic education courses for undergraduates, the courses include: • Concepts of Programming Languages. • Digital Image Processing. • Distributed Systems. • Data Structures and Algorithms. • Theory of Computing. • Compilers Design. • E-Commerce: Application and Techniques. As the manager of University eLearning I am responsible to : • Develop policy and strategy of the e-learning in consultation with relevant University committees and groups. • Agree strategic goals in relation to the further development and enhancement of e-learning with e-learning sub-committee. • Evaluate and assess the impact of innovations in e-learning and makes appropriate recommendations to the University. • Primary contact with the external e-learning community. • Contribute expertise and advice to relevant University groups. • Manage the pedagogical aspects of the University’s e-learning program. • Devise and coordinate programs of teaching and training in the use of e-learning and participates in their delivery. • Encourage and influence staff and students to adopt e-learning innovation and good practice.
