Magdy M. Alanani

Biography

Eng. Alanani earned his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with a grade of first class w/honours from the British University in Egypt in 2016. A non-degree student at llinois institute of Technology-Chicago-IL in 2014 with GPA 4.0. He is currently enrolled in the M. Sc. Structural engineering Program in at Cairo University Bio: Eng. Alanani currently works as Teaching Assistant in the Civil Engineering department at the British University in Egypt. In 2013, He went through a training program at the Arab Contractors Co in the Arabic tech center project inside the technical institute of the Egyptian armed forces. where he practiced the duties of a site engineer. In 2015, he worked as a steel structural engineer at Dar Al-Handasah consultant office for an internship program. During that time, he practiced computer modelling of STEEL structures and applications of gravity and wind loads using STAAD pro software, the exercise included verification of the output results of the computer models versus manual design for various structural elements. The exercise also includes an introduction to the usage of the AISC, ASCE and UBC international codes. In 2015, he worked as a structure engineer in summer training program at ECG structures department. the main role for the internship was understanding the full process of designing a reinforced concrete structure using engineering software
