Omar Aboubaker

Biography

Omar graduated the Second of his class, his dissertation investigated the development of the Egyptian Salafis' discourse post the 25th of January revolution. Omar recieved The luxembourg Peace Prize of 2016 in the category of a "Youth Peaceworker" during the World Peace Forum in Florianopolis, Brazil. The Prize is a joint Prize awarded by the World Peace Forum and the Schengen Peace Foundation and approved by His Majesty the Grand Duke Henri of Luxemburg. In May 2015, Omar was acknowledged as an International Ambassador of Peace by the Universal Circle of the Ambassadors of Peace (Switzerland and France) during his participation in the 1st Youth Peace forum in Cairo. Omar worked as a Summer Intern in the Political Sector- The Americas dept. of the League of Arab states in 2015, he also represented Egypt in the European Commission’s Mediterranean forum in Berlin 2013; under the title of Empowering Youth against Unemployment through simulation games. Omar Joined a number of Extracurriclar activites, He was the President of the General Assembly Council in the BUE Model of United Nations 2014-2015, the Faculty Manager of the Political Science dept. during the FYE programs of 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. He is Currently a member of Heliopolis Chorus and the Secertary of Rotaract club of Gezira Sporting.
