Biography
Dr. Sahar M. Abdel-Haleim is currently working as a lecturer at the British University in Egypt. She has received her Ph.D. in Economics from Cairo University, faculty of Economics and Political Science in April 2015 and Master of Arts from the American University in Cairo in 2006. She had been working for two years at the Economics department in the American University in Cairo. She hold the position of a senior economic researcher at the Information and Decision Support Center that is related to the Egyptian cabinet. Based on her excellent academic performance, she had received Graduate Merit Fellowship awards in the Department of Economics at the AUC for the academic years from 2002 to 2004. Also, she had received assistant-ship awards at AUC from 2001 to 2004. As well, she had received a Golden Medal in the graduation ceremony of the Bachelor of Economics from (The Late) His Highness Sheikh Zayed the former U.A.E. president. She has published on topics about bread subsidy, devaluation of the exchange rate and interaction of monetary and fiscal policies.
