Biography
She is a Lecturer at the British University in Egypt (BUE). Having practical experience in the field of Green buildings, and Green building rating systems- working for different universities: Arab Academy for Science & Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University, as well as a number of multidisciplinary consultancy companies, e.g. Dorsch, GHD, and Khateeb and Alami. Education History: PhD, Politecnico di Milano, Department of: Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering, Italy, March 2014, thesis title (Developing a systemic framework for applying LEED system; managing Energy and Materials credits). LEED Accredited professional since 2009 LEED AP BD+C - Certified since 10/26/2010 USGBC - GBCI Number: 10416416 Msc in landscape design & urban planning, Scuola Superiore di Catania, Italy, 2007, Thesis title: Water treatment parks as a tool for sustainable development. Pre-Masters in landscape & urban planning, Cairo University, department of Architecture 2005. Bachelor in Engineering, Cairo University, department of Architecture 2004.
Research Interest
Developing decision making tools such as software energy analysis and Life Cycle Assessment tools to support the decision making process for green buildings and green building rating systems. This is considered a part of a comprehensive project management framework.
