Biography

Born on June 1962. From January 1987 and until the end of 2010: He joined the International company Chevron where  he  took over several responsibilities at engineering and operations, planning and sales till he  became Sales Director and Board Member in 1998 then he became Managing Director for Marketing in 2008.In 2010:- He moved to work in South Africa, at the headquarters of Chevron Africa and the Middle East where he became the Regional Director for Central and South Africa, until the end of 2010.In January 2011:- He joined the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation – EGPC as the Vice – Chief Executive of EGPC for Foreign Trade. August 2011 - February 2012:- He took over the position of the Vice- Chief Executive of EGPC for Internal Trade in addition to serving as a Deputy for Foreign Trade. From March to August 2013: -He took over the post of the Vice- Chief Executive of EGPC for Operations in addition to his work as Deputy for Foreign Trade. From August 2013 to Sep., 2015:-He was assigned to be The Head of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). On 19th Sep., 2015:-He has sworn in as the Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources.
