Dr. Essam Eldin Mohamed Hassan AboKassem is a Professor at Department of Dcience, Tanta University. His work is aimed at biosynthetic mechanisms underlying bacteriocin production. His focus is on a particular class of bacteriocins that use a conserved mechanism of posttranslational modification to produce the active toxin.
