Biography
Mati Paasuke received his Ph.D. in Physiology from University of Tartu in 1987. He is currently Professor of Kinesiology and Dean of the Faculty of Exercise and Sport Sciences at the Univesrsity of Tartu, and he operates the Kinesiology and Biomechanics Lab. He has co-authored more than 80 referred papers in the field of neuromuscular physiology, kinesiology, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, and gerontology. He is recipient of a number of supported by European Union and state grants and projects.
Research Interest
Mati Paasuke research interests includes: Neuromuscular adaptation and fatigue, motor development of children, aging (sarcopenia) & joint injuries and osteoarthritis: pre- and postoperative changes in motor functions musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
