Biography
Mrs. Semira Abdelmenan is a public health expert at the Addis Continental Institute of Public Health, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She received her B.Sc. in Nursing from Hawassa University in July 2006 and Master’s of Public Health degree from Haramaya University in July 2014. She also has a number of short trainings on monitoring and evaluation, Effective teaching skill and geographic information system (GIS). She worked as a clinician in a zonal hospital of rural Ethiopia at the start of her carrier. Furthermore, she has worked as a data collector for different research projects. Mrs. Semira has participated in research projects in the area of malaria, maternal health and chronic infectious disease. As part of her current work she is involved in research, teaching, student advising and the head of IT, Library and data management unit at ACIPH. As the data management unit head, she has harmonized and facilitated the data processing procedures for a number of national survey’s and research projects conducted by ACIPH with partner organization.
