Biography

In the past Mr. Haimanot Gebrehiwot was working at Selam Technical and Vocational Center as “Instructor” and “Workshop Master” from November 14, 2002 to September 25, 2003. He was also working at Ethiopian Science and Technology Minister with different working positions as Electrical Engineer, Patent Administration Expert, and Patent Examination Expert from November 2003 to August 2006. He Joined the University of Gondar as a Lecturer on December 2009. He is working in an interdisciplinary Research mainly Sustainability and Sustainable development. He also gives lecture to graduate and postgraduate classes’ courses including “Energy and Environment”, “Risk Management”, “Waste management”, “Cleaner Production”, “Sustainability Science” and “Eco design”.

Research Interest

Mr. Haimanot has a special interest in team based research in areas including Eco efficiency, LCA, Eco city, Industrial Ecology, Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Environmental planning, complexity and sustainability in cities, and Energy systems.
