Biography
Dr. Raja Nagappan was born on February 8, 1967 in Ammapettai village, Erode district, Tamil Nadu India. He has completed B.Ed., M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. from well known prestigious Universities from India. He is specialized in the field of Entomology. He is having 14 years of exclusive research experience and 8years of teaching and research experience in India and abroad. He has published 70 research articles in the field of Entomology with special interest on botanicals in insect pest management and vector control program. He has received young scientist award for his research project from Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. He is having two joint patent right from Department of Science and Technology for the isolation bioactive novel compounds from plants for insect pest management program. He has conducted several on farm training programs to farmers regarding the use of botanical pesticides in insect pest management and identification of pests in the field. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology, University of Gondar, Ethiopia. He is keenly involved teaching and research in his field. He has taught several courses related to the biological sciences.
