Ramam Atmakuri

Biography

Ramam Atmakuri is a Post Graduate in Applied Statistics, qualified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Quality Analyst, and a Graduate Diploma holder in Operations Research. He started his career in 1984 as Management Trainee in Indian public sector steel company, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), and worked for three decades in IT and manufacturing industries. He was heading the India R&D centers of multinationals Baan and Invensys, with a track record of building and maturing product development centers in India. Before joining LVPEI in October 2014, he was the Center Head of Cognizant at Hyderabad. Having served in many global management teams, Ramam has vast experience in building and managing businesses, and leading multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. He has served on the Managing Committee of Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) for more than a decade, including two terms as Vice President; he was also honoured with the "Outstanding Service to the IT Industry" award by HYSEA. Mr Atmakuri is the Founder and Past President of the Hyderabad Pearl City Chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI), USA; and has served in voluntary roles as Region Mentor for West Asia and their Chapter Member Advisory Group. He is the recipient of the prestigious Eric Jenett Project Management Excellence Global Award 2012 for his contributions to advocacy and outreach of the project management profession globally, and the recipient of global CEO awards for leadership.
