Ms. Nawasaitoga pursued her law degree (LLB) at the University of the South Pacific from 2002 to 2005. She further pursued her Professional Diploma in Legal Practice (PDLP) at USP in 2006 and was admitted to the High Court in Fiji in September 2006 as a barrister and solicitor. She then joined the Legal Aid Commission in October 2006 and worked as a volunteer legal officer from October 2006 until February, 2007 before she officially became a legal officer from March 2006 until March 2010. She worked in Legal Aid from being a volunteer legal officer and was promoted through the positions from a Legal Officer in 2007 to Senior Legal Officer in 2010, Principal Legal Officer in 2013 and she was further promoted to being one of the Deputy Directors in 2014. She has practiced criminal law, family law including adoption and civil law in terms of drafting of wills, Letters of Administration and Probate and giving advice in other areas of law. During her volunteer and employment of 8 years and 2 months at the Legal Aid Commission in Fiji, she has practiced in the criminal and family jurisdictions of the Juvenile Court, Magistrates Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Fiji. She then joined USP Emalus Campus in January, 2015 as the Community Law Information Center Manager.
