Biography
His academic qualifications are B.Sc. (Animal Husbandry) from Mali, M.Sc. (Animal Production and Management) from University of Maiduguri, Nigeria, PGD (Education) from the National Teachers’ Institute, Nigeria and PhD (Monogastric Animal Nutrition) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Nigeria. He joined USP in 2012 from University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. He have supervised a PhD and several Master students in Monogastric Animal nutrition. He was a member of Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN), World Poultry Science Association (WPSA), Japan Poultry Science Association (JPSA) and Fiji Institute of Agricultural Science (FIAS). He was editor of the Journal of South Pacific Agriculture (JOSPA) from 2013 to 2016.
Research Interest
Alternative feed resources for monogastric livestock with emphasis on poultry and pigs, enzymes in monogastric feeding for reducing environmental excretion of nutrients, and animal welfare with emphasis on poultry and pigs.
