Biography

James Johnson is Social Psychologist with research interests in interpersonal conflict and all forms of intergroup and intragroup stereotypes. He received a doctorate in Psychology from the Indiana University. He has won numerous university awards for his teaching and presentations. He has over 35 published articles and book chapters. He has also secured over 4 million dollars in grant funding for his work which has been featured in international news outlets such as CNN, the Associated Press, and the Washington Post. Due to his research on media influences on stereotypes, he has consulted with United States Surgeon General and the United States House of Representatives. Most recently, he is the lead investigator of a $293,000 research project funded by Fiji Department of Women, the Australian High Commission, and UNWomen.
