Biography
I am the coordinator for the Fijian Studies programme. I currently teach the following courses: • LL161: Fijian Language Studies I – Vakadidike Vosa Vakaviti I • LL262: Fijian Orature/Literature II – Umavosa Maroroi Vakaviti II • LL362: Orality, Literacy and Culture – Umavosa Maroroi Vakaviti III
Research Interest
I have two main areas of research interest. The first is the vanua in the pre-Christian and colonial era and the culture of the itaukei in the present day. The second is the itaukei language, its orature and verbal art.
