Biography
Dr. Jarkko Niiranen is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Aalto University , Finland. His research interests includes models and methods for mechanics of solids and structures, especially on finite element methods (FEM) and isogeometric analysis (IGA) for mechanics of thin structures, such as plates, shells and beams, combined with both classical and generalized continuum theories. He is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Jarkko Niiranen is the member of many international affiliations. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He has authored of many research articles/books related to models and methods for mechanics of solids and structures, especially on finite element methods (FEM) and isogeometric analysis (IGA) for mechanics of thin structures, such as plates, shells and beams, combined with both classical and generalized continuum theories.
