Biography
Dr. Laivuori is a research coordinator of the Sequencing Intiative Suomi (SISu) project (www.sisuproject.fi), an international collaboration between research groups aiming to build tools for genomic medicine. She is also a group leader and the expert secretary of the Research Council at the Faculty of Medicine.
Research Interest
Dr. Laivuori’s main research interests are genetics, molecular mechanisms, risk factors and later life implications of common pregnancy disorders such as pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes, which have enormous impact on global public health.
