Vidya Velagapudi

Biography

Vidya Velagapudi obtained her Bachelors in Bioscience (1999), Masters in Biotechnology (2001), Advanced PG diploma in Bioinformatics (2002), and then joined a Pharmaceutical company as a Research Associate, Proteomics group (2002) in India. Later on she moved to Germany in 2003 for her graduate studies and obtained Ph.D in Applied Biochemistry (Metabolic flux analysis) from the University of Saarland in collaboration with the Max-Planck Institute for Informatics, Saarbrucken. Dr. Velagapudi then moved to VTT Oy, Finland as a Post-doctoral fellow (Systems Biology) in collaboration with University of Cambridge, UK, and continued as a Research Scientist and Project Manager during 2006-2009.
