Biography
Pirjo Pellikka has graduated as a construction architect from North Savo Polytechnic (today known as Savonia University of Applied sciences) in 1998. She has been working as an architect in zoning in Local Detailed Plans, Local Master Plans, in renewing plans and in building permits. She has carried out demanding planning and zoning processes in remarkable projects dealing with industry, wind power, harbors, logistics, waste management, commercial centers, residential areas and leisure-time resort projects. She has been involved in several cases of environmental impact assessments (EIA) as a specialist in land use and zoning as well as a project coordinator. Project management and stakeholder contacts are her key abilities. She has also experience working abroad; she has studied one semester in Copenhagen Byggeteknisk Höjskole, and worked in NCC Hus at Jönköping, Sweden. Pirjo has carried out studies of community planning in Lahti 2001-2003 and has worked 6 years as a nail-plated wooden structures engineer responsible for Kastelli-talot.
