Biography
Dominika Ignasiak was born in Konin, Poland. She completed her first cycle studies in Medical Physics at the University of Adam Mickewicz in Pozna, Poland. During her studies she spent one year abroad at the Umeå University, Sweden within the Erasmus exchange project. In 2009, she moved to Tampere, Finland to complete her Master's program in Biomedical Engineering at the Tampere University of Technology. After graduation in 2012, she joined Prof. Stephen Ferguson’s group as a PhD student. The main focus of her research involves development of an established musculoskeletal model, whose aim is to predict the effects of postural deteroriation and decline of muscle mass.
