Biography
Dr. Jani Vuolteenaho is an Adjunct professor (urban studies) in Department of Geography and Geology, University of Turku. He has been involved with Urban Geography Collective Research Group alongwith many other research projects such as (1.)Transformation of Onomastic Landscape in Socio-linguistically Diversifying Neighbourhoods of Helsinki (ONOMASTADI), 2005–2009 ; (2.)Naming, Power and Urban Space: Inscriptions of Local Heritage, Nationalism and Place Marketing in the Namescape, 2010–2013 ; (3.)Place Branding and the Built Environment, 2012; (4.)Urban Routinisation and Contestation in the Public Spaces of the Digitalised City ; (5.)Youth Unemployment and Urban Marginalisation in Transition (under planning)"
