Research Interest
The research activities of the Nucleic Acid Diagnostics group are focused on lanthanide chelate based assay concepts using a time-resolved mode of measurement in closed compartments, novel Nucleic Acid detection systems using dual-tag lantanide chelate sensors, simple sample pre-treatment methods, and ready-to-use dry reagents using inexpensive chip formats. The present targets of the assays are microbes that cause infections. and work also focuses on employing assay methods in the in vitro Diagnostics and to support the development of a high performance, yet relatively simple, assay technology platform for next-generation Diagnostics.
