Törmä Ilkka is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Turku, Finland. Dr.Ilkka research is mainly focused on qualitative dynamical aspects of different classes of cellular automata and multidimensional symbolic systems, and related existence and decidability problems.
Research Interest
Cellular automata; one- and multidimensional symbolic dynamics, including tiling systems; topological dynamics and ergodic theory; combinatorics of words;automata theory and formal languages; computational complexity; theory of computation; universal and topological algebra; category theory.
