Biography

Peter has more than 30 years of medical practice, research and development experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Peter has been instrumental in developing product pipelines that encompass small molecules, biologics, and medical devices. Prior to his position at Adare, Peter was the Chief Medical Officer and Head of Global Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for Alcon, the eye care division of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. During his 10 years at Alcon, his responsibilities included leading the company's global clinical, regulatory, and safety organizations and serving as its ad interim Head of Research and Development. Peter specializes in endocrinology, holding Bachelor's degrees of Medical Science (B.Med.Sci.), Medicine and Surgery (BM, BS), with honors from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom, where he was also awarded a diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine. He is a recipient of the John Moir Memorial Prize Gold Medal for Medicine.
