Biography
Yves Blais is Vice President Research and Development at Héma-Québec since 2008. As so, he directs and manages a group of 45 people involved in fundamental and operational research in fields related to blood products. Mr. Blais has cumulated over 20 years of experience in several biotechnology and human product manufacturing organization. Prior to his current appointment at Héma-Québec, he was Vice President, technologies for Xanthus Life Sciences, where he directed development of diagnostic immunological assays and while at Geneka Biotechnology, he managed the laboratory in Cellular Engineering. Mr. Blais holds a PhD in Physiology-Endocrinology from Laval University (Ph.D., 1996) and an MBA in biotech industry management (2004) from the University of Québec in Montréal.
