Biography
Didier Pfleger is appointed SVP Middle-East and Africa. He was Vice President Germany & Austria since 2014. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President Global Solutions of Alstom Transport. Didier Pfleger joined Alstom in 1991 in the Power division in Belfort. He has held various roles in Tendering and Project Management. In 2000 he took over the position of Managing Director for the Alstom Power Plants Business in Mannheim (Germany) and became in 2003 President of Power Service in France. Didier is French, 52 years old and is graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and holds an engineering degree from the Ecole Superieure de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace (Toulouse). The Middle-East & Africa region within Alstom includes several active markets covering Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Israel….but also Central Asia. The region employs 2,900 people and its sales have been growing by 30% per year for four years.
