Biography
Hélène Blois holds a master degree in Biotechnology (University of Bordeaux 1-2, France, 2006). In 2007, she joined the Australian Company, DarT (Diversity arrays Technology LTD, Yarralumla, ACT, Australia). She participated to the development of a genotyping technology to detect all kinds of DNA variations, in order to overcome some of the limitations of competitive molecular marker technologies, such as RFLP, AFLP and SSR. In 2009, Hélène Blois was hired by Pherecydes Pharma as a Research Engineer to run the proof of concept studies of the first Company's patented technologies (TAPE, RiPH and AbACCUS). Late 2010, she started setting up the process to collect, screen and characterize natural phages to expand our proprietary phage banks. In addition, she was actively involved in discovering the first phage cocktails of the Company, which are now tested in clinical trial (PhagoBurn) or in preclinical studies (PHOSA, PneumoPhage). Early 2015, Helene became head of the microbiology and molecular biology laboratories and is currently managing the day-to-day research efforts of Pherecydes Pharma.
