Biography
Dieter Weinand earned an M.S. in pharmacology and toxicology from Long Island University, New York, and a B.A. in biology from Concordia College, New York.He has been in charge of product marketing in various therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular diseases, oncology, dermatology, immunology, and respiratory and inflammatory diseases. Before moving to Bayer HealthCare, he was President, Global Commercialization & Portfolio Management at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization Inc. in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. From August 1, 2014, until his appointment to the Board of Management of Bayer AG, Weinand was a member of the Bayer HealthCare Executive Committee and head of the Pharmaceuticals Division.
Research Interest
Dieter is intrested mainly for developing novel drugs and therapeutics for cardiovascular diseases, inflamation and oncology .
