Biography
Professor of Hematology at the University Pierre & Marie Curie (UPMC) in Paris. Director of the Biological Hematology Center at Trousseau Hospital (Paris). Scientific & Medical Director of the French Blood Agency. Scientific Director for the Cell Therapy Center in Ile-de-France. Expert at the french Biomedicine Agency. Prof Luc Douay is a pioneer in the stem cell research and internationally known for his expertise in ex vivo expansion of stem cells. Since 2007, he is also Director of the INSERM Research Unit S938 dedicated to the proliferation and differentiation of stem cells. His research team is composed of more than 35 MDs, PhDs, engineers and technicians located in the Research Centre St Antoine (Paris)
