Biography
Sociologist, Pierre François uses the tools of economic sociology to analyze the dynamics of the worlds of art. His work focuses on contemporary poetry since the 1960s , a study he conducts with Sébastien Dubois. He devotes a part of his work to a historical sociology of the firms and their leaders since the beginning of the 19th century , as part of an investigation he is carrying out with Claire Lemercier . Since September 2017, he has been heading the doctoral school at Sciences Po. He is co-lead with Sylvestre Frezal a research program on the insurance sector in the framework of the
