Biography
Stéphanie Serve's current research focuses on SME financing and seeks to explore several facets of the bank-SME relationship. In finance, his work focuses on the determinants and the measure of credit rationing, the accounting behavior of the SME manager vis-à-vis his bank (management of accounting results) and the determinants of the use of multi-banking. A recent trend in the financial literature has emphasized the importance of qualitative information collected during the construction of the bank-company relationship and its influence in the decision to grant credit. However, existing work notes that the financial literature lacks an understanding of how the banking relationship operates. In this context, Stéphanie Serve wishes to approach the bank-SME relationship from a sociological point of view, and she joined the CSO as an associate researcher in January 2014. The objective of the research is to observe what happens during a " a request for financing process, in order to better understand how the bank-SME relationship is built and / or evolves during this process.
