Biography
A variety of genetic methods, including microarrays, genotyping and sequencing analysis of new generation are developed to characterize human tumors, as well as molecular biology, cell biology and transgenesis approaches to create and investigate models are used. The main research themes of the unit include: the link between oncogenesis, stem cell status and cell differentiation, in particular in neurons and lined mesenchymal cells, in order to establish similarities and differences between the biology of tumor cells and their cells normal, genetic alterations in cancer cells, in particular the mechanisms of genetic instability that could be a cause or a consequence of the development of the tumor, the role of oxidative stress in angiogenesis, cellular aging and tumor development, s are changes in intracellular trafficking and cytoskeleton are associated with malignant transformation.
