Francesco Bellanti

Biography

Francesco Bellanti joined Certara Strategic Consulting as Associate Director, Consulting Services in Modeling and Simulation in February 2015. Prior to joining Certara, Francesco worked as Research Assistant at the department of Pharmacology of the Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research (LACDR) before starting his PhD program in the same institute focusing on integration of PK/PD modeling and quantitative Benefit-Risk assessment. During this period he developed his modeling and simulation skills and formed as PK/PD scientist with particular attention towards the challenges of drug development in the pediatric population. Francesco received undergraduate education in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Messina, Faculty of Pharmacy and obtained his PhD in Pharmacology at the LACDR, Leiden University in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Meindert Danhof and Prof. Oscar della Pasqua. In his free time, Francesco enjoys family time, traveling, reading, swimming and riding motorcycles.
