Biography
Dr. Han Witjes joined Certara (formerly Quantitative Solutions) in 2014 as associate director. He is a biostatistician with over ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Organon, Schering-Plough and Merck) in the mid- and late-stage drug development. He has a profound knowledge of and hands-on experience with statistical methods used in biostatistics and chemometrics. He received his PhD in chemometrics from the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in 2000.where he was responsible for the statistical aspects related to the clinical development and regulatory submission of two fertility drugs and one oral contraceptive. This included the development of statistical analysis plans, the writing of SAS analysis programs, and the analysis, interpretation and report of clinical study results. In his spare time, Han likes to play tennis and enjoys hanging out with his family and friends.
