Biography
Dr. Paul Matthias Diderichsen joined Certara (formerly Quantitative Solutions) in Spring 2011 as Director of Consulting Services. He has 6 years of academic and industry postdoctoral experience in the fields of mechanism-based and data-driven modeling and simulation. Prior to 2011, he worked as a senior pharmacometrician and group leader at Abbott Laboratories, where he was responsible for conducting modeling and simulation for exploration analyses and regulatory submissions. While he has been involved in projects from a wide range of therapeutic areas, his main interests lie in the fields of pain and neuroscience, oncology, immunology, and virology. Dr. Paul Matthias Diderichsen holds a master in applied physics from the Technical University of Denmark. His PhD project on physiology-based modeling of the electrophysiology of endocrine pancreatic cells was carried out in a collaboration between the Department of Physics at the Technical University of Denmark and the Scientific Computing and Biosimulation group of Novo Nordisk A/S. Apart from his interests in modeling and simulation in clinical pharmacology, Paul enjoys competing in various sports – and (almost) never travels without his running shoes.
